Falling Sky Lines

Urban Indian Tobacco Logo-1“The Earth does not belong to man; Man belongs to the Earth. This we know. All things are connected like the blood which unites one family. Whatever befalls the Earth befalls the sons of the Earth. Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.”

Falling Sky Lines

Look up in the Sky, tell me what do you see,

A herd of White Elephants high above the trees,

Aero-planes spray a toxic chemical trail display,

White Lines from horizon to horizon over little kids at play,

Clear blue skies become cloudy before your eyes,

Wicked formations swallow the Sun set til rise.

Alone in the FogALONE

There are times in life that I feel alone in a room full of people. Some days I feel isolated from civilization even when walking down a busy sidewalk in the city. People are all around but nobody’s home.

Not many out there notice the aerial assault on the environment taking place everyday. Right in front of people on their commute to and fro work. On the way to the grocery store. Saturday afternoon when driving to the BIG game. Life in a way distracts us from what’s really important in Life.

I get it, we are all caught up in life raising a family or working 9 to 5 to carve out an existence in the rat race of survival. Nobody has the time or the drive to push politicians into making the proper changes for a better tomorrow.

The more we as a society sit idle, the more the walls around us continue to burn, flames getting bigger, and the collapse inward on the survival of humanity. Distracted by the next playoff race or election, the majority of us fail to see the herd of white elephants in the sky.

If you were watching the game and your house caught on fire, you would not hesitate to evacuate and call the fire department. After your family was assembled and safe outside, you could get updates on your smart phone on the game.

What if I told you the SKY was on FIRE? But since you can’t see any flames, you  go right back to watching the BIG game or watching the “Hunger Games” or whatever you choose to do rather than deal with blazing skies.

Growing up I wondered what this country would have become if the Indians retained control of the Land. The air would have remained pure and fresh. The lakes, rivers, oceans and marine life flourishing in a pristine environment. The forests, wetlands, and mountains sparkling with beauty like an oasis wildlife reserve in Africa. No smoke stacks, pollution, or industrial revolution would have taken root.

The problem with this Native American Indian utopian fantasy is it would never happen unless the White Man did not discover America.

The Indians did not view themselves as rulers or in control of the Land. They viewed the Land as sacred and shared it in harmony with the rest of God’s creation. A long standing Native American principle I learned at a very young age,”Only take what you absolutely need from Mother Earth, always give back, and never ever waste anything.”

That’s it, that’s it… the Native Americans philosophy of the ages will save this beautiful blue planet.

We must all unit under one Earthly family to end the destruction of our shared Mother.

An evil enterprise is poisoning the planet from above everyday before our eyes. What goes up, must come down.
